Richmond Plains Monarch Rose is a fruity and elegant wine perfect as an aperitif and dry style matching a wide range of foods.
It is named after the Monarch Butterfly and the New Zealand Butterfly Trust we sponsor. The presence of butterflies like frogs is a measure of the health environments around the world. Butterflies are found throughout our vineyard and are symbolic of the care we take in looking after the environment as we work with nature to produce lovely wines that are good for you and the planet.
Tasting: Fragrant raspberry and strawberry aromas.Delicious soft light cherry, raspberry and redcurrant flavours. This wine has a refreshing dry finish which makes it an excellent accompaniment to a wide variety of lighter flavoured food dishes.
Vintage:The grapes were crushed and destemmed then left to soak 6 hours in the press to allow for colour extraction before being cool fermented to preserve the vibrant primary fruit characters.
Diet: This wine is suitable for a vegan diet.
The wine is instantly appealing on the nose showing apple blossom, watermelon, rockmelon
and lemon peel aromas, followed by a juicy palate that is refreshing and lively. It is pristine and
delightful with plenty of crowd-pleasing flavours.
